Our "Bright Beginnings" nursery provides a fantastic start to a child's education, run by an experienced Early Years teacher and support staff. Children benefit from stimulating indoor and outside environments with access to a wide range of resources which help them learn through play. We offer morning or full-day sessions, 5-days a week during term-time for pre-school children aged 3-4.

Whether you are entitled to 15 or 30 hours funding, you can opt for mornings, full days or a combination and can pay for top-up hours too. There is a minimum requirement of 4 sessions per week  ie 4 x mornings or 2 full days.

How to apply for a place at a maintained nursery for September 2024

To apply for a place at a maintained nursery for September 2024 you must complete an application form. The forms will be available from schools from February 2024, or you can download an application form. Send the completed forms to your first-choice school.

Applications for nursery school/nursery classes for September 2024 from children born between 1 September 2020 and 31 August 2021 will be reviewed first.

At nurseries attached to faith schools with nursery classes the allocation of places is agreed by the governing body in accordance with the school’s individual oversubscription criteria. Parents are advised that they should complete the school’s supplementary form as well as the Local Authority application form.
